This policy explains what information E&C Academy (“we”) collects through learnwithec.com and our AI Homework Feedback service, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our website
Our website does not use accounts, advertising, or analytics trackers. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives standard technical information such as your IP address. If you email or call us, we use the information you share only to respond and to provide our programs.
AI Homework Feedback is for parents
AI Homework Feedback is offered to parents and guardians of E&C Academy students during a pilot. It is used by the parent, not by the child: the parent enters an access code, agrees to this policy, and uploads photos of the student’s math work. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
What we collect for homework feedback
- Homework photos you choose to upload, and anything visible in them. Please cover your student’s name or other personal details if you prefer; they are not needed for the feedback.
- Settings you choose: grade level, feedback language, and any optional notes.
- Your access code, and a count of how many times it is used each day.
- Technical information, such as your IP address, that is processed by our hosting and network providers to deliver the service.
How the information is used and shared
We use the photos and settings only to create the feedback you asked for. When you press “Check this work,” the photos are sent over an encrypted connection through our server, which runs on Cloudflare, to our AI service provider, Anthropic, which reads the work and writes the feedback. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf under its commercial terms and privacy policy.
We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, build profiles of students, or use it to train AI models.
How long we keep it
Our server passes the photos to Anthropic and does not save them. The feedback is shown only in your browser and is not stored on our server; it disappears when you leave the page unless you print or save it yourself. The daily usage count for each access code is kept for up to 48 hours. Your browser remembers your access code, your agreement to this policy, and your settings on your own device; you can remove them by choosing “Change access code” or clearing your browser’s site data.
Security
All connections use encryption (HTTPS). The service requires an access code, and our AI provider’s key is kept on our server, never in the web page. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your choices
Using AI Homework Feedback is optional. You can stop at any time. If you have questions or would like us to look into any information related to your family, contact us at chenshuai0320@gmail.com.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service develops. We will post the new version here with a new date, and we will tell families directly about any important change before it applies to them.
